New Member Quick Look Information

We field 2 Divisions –
· Gold – 65 and over
· Silver – 50 to 64

Gold Division (65 and over)
· We usually play 2 games a week - Games will be at the Fish and Game in Ludlow. Games usually start at 4:15 PM. No games on Saturday or Sunday. See our web site for directions to the fields under “Schedules” on our home page.
· We do not have official umpires, we umpire ourselves – we concentrate on Safety and just having fun.
· Season starts early May and ends in September. Fall ball ends when it snows.
· Courtesy runners are allowed, even from home plate.
· We allow to overrun each base. We have extra bases at first, second and home.
· No sliding, No stealing.
· We start the count with 1 ball and 1 strike. 6 to 12 foot arch slow-pitch.
· We use an extended home plate to determine the strike zone. If a pitched ball lands on any part of the extended plate, it will be considered a strike.
· Uniforms are not mandatory but shirts and hats are available for purchase.
· Open practice every Saturday morning and Wednesday morning at the Fish and Game.
· All bats must be ASA approved. Round Robin batting order. We use 52/300 core softballs.
· Senior bats are allowed for anyone 80 or over.


Silver Division (50 and over)
· We usually play 2 games a week - Games will be at the Fish and Game in Ludlow. Games usually start at 6 PM. No games on Saturday or Sunday. See our web site for directions to the fields under “Schedules” on our home page.
· We do not have official umpires, we umpire ourselves – we concentrate on Safety and just having fun.

· Sliding is allowed when running back to first, into second and third. No sliding or diving into first or at home. No stealing.
